Word on Wednesdays Bible Study: Built For More | South Gwinnett Baptist Church

Many people think God's power is reserved for miracles or extraordinary moments. The Bible teaches something much deeper. God's power is designed to transform ordinary people into faithful disciples who live with purpose, develop Christlike character, and find strength for everyday life.

This week's Word on Wednesdays Bible Study explores three foundational passages that reveal how God's power works in the life of every believer.

  • Acts 1:8 teaches that the Holy Spirit empowers us to become Christ's witnesses wherever God has placed us.

  • Galatians 5:22–23 reminds us that the greatest evidence of God's power is not merely what we accomplish but who we are becoming through the fruit of the Spirit.

  • Philippians 4:13 places one of Scripture's most quoted verses back into its proper context, showing that Christ gives believers strength to remain faithful in every season—whether life is easy or difficult.

Throughout the lesson, participants will also learn the SOAP Bible Study Method (Scripture, Observation, Application, and Prayer), providing a practical framework for studying God's Word beyond Wednesday night.

Whether you are new to the Bible or have followed Christ for years, this study will encourage you to recognize that God's power is not simply something we receive—it is something we live out each day through faithful obedience.

Come discover how God empowers ordinary people to accomplish extraordinary things for His glory.
